Happy Birthday!

The twins turn five today.  What a fun five years it has been.  They changed so much in the past year!  They began going to preschool, Drew graduated from his speech therapy, they learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels and write their names.  It's amazing to watch them grow up and continue to grow such a special relationship with each other.  I'm pretty sure they grow an inch every night! What a blessing they have been to our family.  Happy Birthday to our favorite twins!

Ulysses S. Grant

Luke had a wax museum at school.  He chose to be Ulysses S. Grant.  Each of the 3rd graders wrote a small blurb about their historical figure and then on the day they stood as wax figures until you tapped the button on their hand.  They then came to life and told you about themselves.  It was really fun.  The twins and I went around to almost all 60 kids and they loved it.

40 Years

My parents are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year.  They will actually be in Uganda on their anniversary, so we celebrated a few weeks early.  We had an open house for family and friends and had fun planning this celebration.  Congratulations, Dad & Mom!

Aren't we cute?:)

Softball

Reagan had another great season of softball.  It's amazing to see how the kids have gotten better since last season.  She had a friend from school on her team, which made the games even more fun for her.  She has already decided that she's going to play softball until she is too old to!

I don't think these two watched much of the games.  They usually played around on this thing or begged to go to the concession stand.  They didn't go to many games.:)

She likes to play catcher.

Tulip Time #2

Because the weather was so lousy for Pella's Tulip Time (snow, rain, & cold!), I decided to surprise the kids and take them to Orange City's Tulip Festival this year as well.  It was a quick trip, but we all had a great time.  Ryan opted to stay home and get a bunch of stuff done around the house.:)
Renee and I took the kids up to ride some of the rides when we got to town.  They each got to pick 3.  Luke wanted to stay back with Grandpa Mike and shoot his b.b. gun!

On the ferris wheel

She had a mouth full of carrots that she had been chewing for at least 30 minutes.  Gross.:/

We were all hot so we got some tropical sno for a treat.  You could put your own flavors on, which was a hit with the kids.

Since Luke missed out on rides the night before, we went on a few more before calling it a night.

PreSchool finale

Drew & Lauren had their last day of preschool the middle of May.  They had a fabulous year and really learned a lot.  They are going to be doing Pre-K next fall  because they do not turn 5 until the middle of June.  They are excited to go back and have most of the same teachers next year.  They had a little program to finish out the school year.

They sang some really cute songs for us.
