Such a silly boy...

It's been in the 80's and 90's here, but Luke has insisted on wearing long pants and shirts lately. Last Sunday he put on all his winter gear (again) and then fell asleep on this little chair. About a minute after Ryan took this picture, Luke fell off of the chair and woke himself up. We thought it was pretty funny!

Reagan's First Haircut

I finally took Reagan to get her first haircut the other day. She did a great job! She's been so excited to go, but when we finally got there she thought it might hurt. She sat on my lap though and then she was fine. I think she got at least two inches off the back to get it all evened out. I was worried that all of her curls would be gone, but it looks really cute!

Our All American Girl and Little Firecracker

We had a great 4th of July this year. On the 3rd we celebrated with some friends from our small group at our house. The kids had fun swimming and playing with their friends in the backyard and doing sparklers when it got darker. On Friday we went to the campgrounds out by Saylorville Lake and spent time with my mom's side of the family. It was the first time many of them had seen Drew and Lauren so they met lots of new relatives! We also went to see a fireworks display in Waukee that night and took Drew and Lauren to church for the first time that Sunday. We had a busy weekend, but it was fun!

Our new home...part 1

Here are a few outdoor pictures from our house. At one point we had flowers blooming all over the front landscaping. We're really enjoying our nice big backyard, especially the fence. I can let the kids go out back by themselves and know they aren't going anywhere! We'll try to post inside pictures soon for those of you who haven't been over. We're always home, so stop by anytime!

2 weeks old!

Our babies are 2 weeks old already! Yesterday was their actual due date. I told Ryan that if I would have been having only one, I would still be pregnant...probably for another week! They had their 2 week checkup also. They are both doing great. Drew is obviously getting enough to eat, because his weight is already up to 6 lb. 14 oz. He gained at least 10 oz. in a week and a half! Lauren is a little more on the petite side. She is only at 5 lb. 9 oz, which is 2 oz. under her birth weight. I can already tell what they'll be like as teenagers. He'll eat a lot and she'll sleep a lot!
