Wow! Last night I was thinking about how 2 years ago I had been thinking about going into the hospital the next day and how nervous I was to have twins! We had no idea what it would be like, but it has been a fun two years. I've said it before, but there is something about twins that is so funny. I think God knew I would get a kick out of them.:) They are really growing up a lot lately. They have begun saying a lot of words and you can somewhat have a conversation with them. Lauren has developed the art of the high pitch girl scream. Not one of my favorite qualities in her.:) They both
love to play outside. This rain we've been having has not gone over well around here. Lauren has begun taking naps in Reagan's big girl bed and I think she is quite proud of that. She always takes much shorter naps than Drew and would end up waking him up too early, so she had to move somewhere on her own. I'm not quite ready to move them out of their cribs though. Until they start climbing out, it's nice to have them contained at night! They fight, like all siblings, but you can tell they are good friends, too. The other day Drew was crying because he was getting tired and Lauren came up to him, said "come here," and wrapped her arms around him. He laid is head on her shoulder and they just stood there for a while. It was the sweetest, cutest thing I have ever seen. I hope their relationship is able to stay that way!
I'm excited for their birthday! Two is such a fun age. We have a lot of "issues" to work through (hitting, pushing, biting, screaming:), but toddlers are so fun. I don't think they quite grasp the whole birthday thing. They did understand when I told them they get to open presents, but this morning when I went to get them and told them "Happy Birthday" they smiled and Lauren pointed to her diaper and said "poopy." I guess there are more important things to think about when you're two!
